DIGITAL MARKETING ELEARNING PROGRAMMES IN WEST AFRICA

THE CONTEXT


L’École Supérieure Multinationale des Télécommunications (ESMT) and Digitally Smart have established a partnership to provide ESMT students with training on Digital Marketing. As a result participants will increase their professional profile which in turn provides a foundation for employment and/or entrepreneurship initiatives.

This programme has been designed as a response to the pilot programme that ran in October 2014 where some ESMT students were selected to participate in the Digital Marketing Fundamentals training course.

 

THE PROGRAMME


This programme will provide a series of Digital Marketing courses delivered throughout the year on an e-Learning mode. It is set to run in the academic year 2014/2015; the first course was the pilot that started on October 2014 and the last course will be delivered in May 2015

The training is a distance learning course delivered through the Digitally Smart E-Learning Centre. The training will be delivered in ‘semi-synchronous flow’, meaning that at a micro-level a course is flexible in terms of when to access the course materials, while at a macro-level it is still structured, that is, deadlines for assignments and evaluations are fixed. Here is how it works:

 

AVAILABLE COURSES


DIGITAL MARKETING FUNDAMENTALS

This training course provides an overview of the digital marketing landscape, and introduces students to the key channels, concepts and metrics. Also it presents the available marketing platforms and tactics for tracking and optimizing campaigns. It provides the technical jargon to determine how and where businesses fit into the digital world.

Duration: 4 weeks

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION

The Search Engine Optimization course is a more in-depth program designed to guide students through current SEO marketing strategies. This training course is intended to show students how to rank higher in the search engines by implementing cutting-edge SEO campaigns.

Duration: 4 weeks

DIGITAL ANALYTICS

This course teaches how to effectively develop and use key performance indicators, how to create comprehensive measurement frameworks and how to establish processes to ensure web data collected is properly analysed and acted upon.

Duration: 4 weeks
